Samsung Galaxy Note 4 smartphone to be launched in India today; all eyes on price

Samsung will launch its new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 4, in India on Tuesday. The phone is coming to India a month after its global launch at the IFA 2014 in Berlin. The Galaxy Note 4 is an upgrade in many ways, primarily with its note-taking abilities thanks to the improved S Pen and the addition of the Smart Select and Snap Note features that add new functionalities — the former lets you clip and share just a small part of the screen, the latter lets you clip just a part of the new photo even as you take it.
The phone has a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED 2560x1440p screen which will set it apart from other such screens in the market and a 16MP rear camera to make use of this screen. The selfie culture gripping the world gets a new boost with the addition of a 120-degree wide angle lens to the 3.7MP front camera.
The Galaxy Note 4 launch comes two days before the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus become available in the country. Samsung could throw a spanner in the works Apple with an aggressive pricing for the Note 4, even though it is very unlike the Korean tech giant to do so.
It also remains to be seen if the unique Samsung Note Edge, which has a curved screen on the side is also launched in India. All indications are that this phone Will not be available in India at the moment, at least not till a pan-India 4G rollout.

The Gear VR, a new form factor powered by the Note 4, was also showcased at IFA. We are hoping Samsung brings this to India for gaming and VR junkies. Samsung had also announced the next of its smartwatches, the Gear S, which will now come with a curved AMOLED screen and will be able to live a unfettered life thanks to inbuilt 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity. There is no indication at
